Books I Read

Um… I finished two books last month 🤦‍♀️

Layoverland by Gabby Noone, ★★★★ (read my review)

The Magnolia Sisters by Michelle Major, ★★½

Favorite Media

The Magicians came back this month! It’s one of those shows that I was maybe a little worried wouldn’t be as good after one of the main characters left last season, but tbh the first episode of season five was fantastic, and I was super engaged within the first few minutes. Each new episode makes me realize how slept on this show is—more people need to watch it!

A new Emily St. John Mandel only because Station Eleven was my absolute favorite novel of the last ten years, nbd. 🤷‍♀️

Berkley Romance tweeted about Not That Kind of Guy and I may have immediately added it to my tbr because I loved Not the Girl You Marry so much.

Oona Out of Order promises time travel and hecka good reviews. 👌

According to The Millions, Shit Is Fucked Up and Bullshit is “about our current political, cultural, and economic landscape and what it means for the future.” Yes, please.

Me, trying to not be so hetero with my romances = adding Something to Talk About to my tbr.

Some contemporary romance via Lauren @ Bookmark Lit: The Falling in Love Montage, The Happy Ever After Playlist and The Tourist Attraction!

Jen @ Pop! Goes the Reader posted her 100 most anticipated young adult releases from January to June of this year, and I added two books about a friend breakup—We Used to Be Friends and When You Were Everything—as well as two young adult contemporary romances—Late to the Party and Yes No Maybe So.
