Favorite Media

I only read four books last month, but both Trick Mirror: Notes on Self Delusion and The Last True Poets of the Sea were surprise favorites. There’s just something about going into a book with no real expectations but then immediately sinking into an author’s prose with the thought that, “yes, this will do.” Neither book really goes with the other, but if you’re in the mood for either a funny and intelligent exploration of the individual self in the 21st century (Trick Mirror) or a quiet meditation on everything from grief to falling in love (The Last True Poets of the Sea), I highly recommend both.

Stuff I Added to My Queue

Lauren posted some of her can’t-miss 2020 releases and wouldn’t you know I added a handful: If I Never Met You, Love Lettering, The Perfect Escape, and The Worst Best Man. Please just bury me with all of the contemporary romances okay?

Oh, look! Love, Unscripted is another contemporary romance with a cute cover!! 🤷‍♀️

Vicki hosted a cover reveal for Now & When and how can I not want to read a contemporary hate-to-love romance that deals with timey wimey stuff?

Jen featured Our Year in Love and Parties among 50 other October young adult releases (!)

We Met in December is a November pick for Library Reads and tbh I only needed to know that it was “banter-filled” with “well-developed characters” (thanks, NoveList! →) to add it to my list.

A lovers to enemies to lovers romantic comedy? Ya duh I’m adding You Deserve Each Other.
